Reality Check
Union Pacific freight trains run through this tunnel near Randsburg, California, near the I-395 in the Mojave Desert. Called the Trona Railway, the trains transport minerals from Searles Valley and materials for the Naval Air Weapons Station at China Lake. The railway used to carry passengers, but that service was discontinued in 1937.
